Auburn Jam Music production studio and record label will host their third annual Auburn Jam Live gig as part of their local MyRaynesPark Festival at the Lantern Arts Centre Studio tonight, May 30.

The concert will showcase the work of new musical theatre composers and songwriters with whom Auburn Jam have produced albums, with performances from a stellar cast of West End and off-West End vocalists who have recorded at the studio. Proceeds from the show will go to Merton Against Trafficking.

The programme will include performances of their own work by Will Barratt, Nadim Naaman and Joe Sterling.

Barratt (who is currently writing material for his own debut album) was seen recently on a West End stage as Bob Crewe in Jersey Boys and also played Raoul in The Phantom Of the Opera as well as roles in Sweeney Todd, Les Miserables and The Producers.

Naaman's performing credits include roles in Titanic, The Sound Of Music, Chess, Margueritte and The Phantom Of the Opera - and his debut album of his own songs, We All Want The Same, was released by Auburn Jam Records in 2013, followed by two sell-out gigs at the Union Theatre and The Pheasantry.

Joe Sterling, who played the role of "Ugly" in Stiles and Drewe's Honk! at the Tabard Theatre, is the composer/lyricist of new musical Roundabout and many songs from the show were featured on the album Somewhere In My Mind - The Songs Of Joe Sterling, which was recorded at Auburn Jam and released by SimG Records in 2012. Joe is currently recording his second EP of his own singer-songwriter material with Auburn Jam Music.

Other songwriters whose work will be featured in the show include:

Alexander Bermange, composer of the musical Thirteen Days, currently recording his musical The Route To Happiness (performed last year at the Landor Theatre) with Auburn Jam Music, starring Louise Dearman, Ben Forster and Kerry Ellis; Christopher J. Orton, composer/lyricist of the epic Welsh historical musical My Land's Shore (the Studio Cast Recording of which was recorded at Auburn Jam and released by SimG Records in 2012); Caroline Wigmore, composer of Van Winkle - A Folk Musical, whose studio cast album was produced by Auburn Jam Music and released in 2013 by SimG Records;.Tim Connor, composer of The Stationmaster (recently workshopped at the Royal Academy Of Music) and The Heart Of Winter (a one-woman song-cycle performed at the Leicester Square theatre in 2009, which will be recorded and released on an Auburn Jam Studio Cast Album later this year); singer-songwriter Jonathan Eio (Melchior in the Spring Awakening UK Tour), whose album New Beginnings was the first full album recorded and produced by Auburn Jam Music.

There will also be songs from The Bakewell Bake-Off, a new musical devised last year by MA students at the Guildford School of Acting, which had successful runs at the Landor and Waterloo East theatres in 2013 and was subsequently recorded at Auburn Jam Music and released by SimG Records.

Vocalists who will perform the songs will include: Shaun McCourt (Miracle On 34th Street and Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat UK tours); Jennifer Hepburn (Les Miserables, Taboo), Michael Storrs (Les Miserables), Suzi Power (Blood Brothers), Kate Scott (Honk and Cinderella at the Tabard), Hollie Cassar (Fame at the Gordon Craig Theatre), Joel Hutchings (soloist for AIDA Entertainment) and Michael Risely (who will soon join the cast of Les Miserables at the Queens Theatre).

Auburn Jam Music, run by husband and wife team Joe and Nikki Davison, is a production and recording studio set up in 2010 and based in Raynes Park, South West London. They specialise in recording and producing albums for songwriters and bands, musical theatre performers and writers, and music for media. They were recently nominated for an IVCA Award for Best Music for their soundtrack to the BMW/England Rugby Six Nations 2013 Sweet Chariot advert. Music produced by Auburn Jam is regularly played on BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, and musical theatre radio station JemmThree, and has featured on BBC Radio 4, BBC Asian Network and BBC Radio 2 Elaine Page On Sunday.

Proceeds from the show will be donated to Merton Against Trafficking, a charity dedicated to raise awareness of trafficking and how to spot signs of people who may have been trafficked - through training in schools, the workplace, community groups and the police. They also lobby MPs and advocate on behalf of victims, carry out research to uncover potential trafficking schemes in Merton and co-ordinate a team of drivers in Merton as part of a network with the Salvation Army who transport victims to safe houses, where they can begin to build a new life.
