Dress Circle have announced that Alan Cumming will appear at their fabulous shop (on Monmouth Street, London) on Saturday September 5 at 1:00 and 2:00pm to sign copies of his debut album I Bought A Blue Car Today. The title is taken from his one-man show at the Vaudeville Theatre, which begins its limited run on September 3.
Priscilla Queen Of The Desert has extended its booking period in the West End. The production, which recently celebrated 100 performances will remain at the Palace Theatre until May 22 2010. It's also being reported that Sister Act has lengthened its schedule by 10 months; as it stands the show is currently booking through to December 18 2010.
The reading of new musical Rebecca is to have big names on board. Sierra Boggess, Pia Douwes and Brent Barret are all set to take part in the musical, which is based upon the classic novel by Daphne Du Maurier.
Matthew Warchus is set to take the helm of the musical version of the film Ghost. The show which is scheduled to open next year is being reported to have a Manchester try-out and the Palace Theatre before heading to the West End.
Arturo Brachetti is to bring over one hundred characters to the West End stage in his unique show, Change. The master of quick change will be at the Garrick Theatre for a limited season from October 19.
The Finborough Theatre's new season line-up includes the Europeam Premiere of Little Fish by Michael John LaChiusa as well as the English premieres of The Tobacco Merchant's Lawyer and Wide asleep by mult-award winning Scottish playwright Ian Heggie.
