On Thursday August 6 the West End company of The Phantom of the Opera will present a cabaret - New Beginnings... No More Talk of Darkness - at the Delfont Room at the Prince Of Wales Theatre in aid of Theatre MAD - Make A Difference Trust. (Doors open 10.30pm, show commences at 11pm)
As the production of The Phantom Of The Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre approaches its summer cast change, saying goodbye to some company members and hello to new ones, various vocalists from the Phantom "family" will get together to perform songs with a real mix of styles.
The set list will include some well known and other less well known songs, including a number from Maury Yeston's Phantom musical (performed by Kieran Brown and Lisa Ann Wood), a modern acoustic twist on a song from the company's own Phantom show, something from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom sequel Love Never Dies, songs from Witches of Eastwick, Chicago and The Addams Family, some vintage Rodgers and Hammerstein, plus a little German Lieder, a touch of Rock, R & B, Ukeleles and much much more!
The Make a Difference Trust, which was originally founded as West End Cares in 1990 and later became Theatrecares (www.madtrust.org.uk), brings together the British entertainment community and its audiences to raise funds for HIV and AIDS projects, to raise awareness and provide care and support for people living with HIV and AIDS.
The cabaret evening will be compered by Kieran Brown and the musical director for the show will be Scott Morgan.
Tickets start at £17, and are available to buy in person at the Prince of Wales Theatre box office, by calling 0844 402 5110 or by visiting www.delfontmackintosh.co.uk
