Television star Michelle Collins, best-known as 'Cindy Beale' in "EastEnders" as well as the BBC television series "Two Thousand Acres of Sky" and "Sunburn", will join the fourth tour cast of "CALENDAR GIRLS" as 'Cora – Miss July', replacing BErnie Nolan, who has had to withdraw from the production due to health reasons.
The fourth cast of the enormously successful "CALENDAR GIRLS" tour, opening at the Regent Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent on 5 September, will also star Lynda Bellingham (the original star of "CALENDAR GIRLS" on stage and recent contestant on "Strictly Come Dancing") as 'Chris – Miss October', Jan Harvey (most famous as the star of "Howard's Way" for six series) as 'Annie – Miss February', Brenda Gilhooly (English comedian best known for her character 'Gayle Tuesday') as 'Celia – Miss September', Debbie Chazen (best-known as a regular in "Doctor Who" and as the star of "TittyTittyBangBang" on BBC3) will play 'Ruth – Miss November', June Watson (veteran star of countless television series) as 'Jessie – Miss January', Ruth Madoc (star of many West End musicals including "Man of La Mancha" and nationally known as 'Gladys Pugh' in "Hi-De-Hi!") will play 'Marie', Mikyla Dodd ('Chloe' in "Hollyoaks") as 'Elaine' and Michael Peluso (son of Lynda Bellingham) will play photographer 'Lawrence'.
"CALENDAR GIRLS", which remains a huge theatrical success and continues to break box office records, will visit New Victoria Theatre Woking (11 – 16 October), Cambridge Arts Theatre (18 – 23 October), New Wimbledon Theatre (25 – 30 October), New Theatre Oxford (1 – 6 November), Mayflower Theatre Southampton (8 – 13 November), Royal and Derngate Northampton (15 – 20 November), Aylesbury Waterside Theatre (22 – 27 November) and Theatre Royal Brighton (29 November – 11 December). "CALENDAR GIRLS" is directed by Hamish McColl, who won an Olivier Award for writing and performing "The Play What I Wrote" in the West End. "CALENDAR GIRLS" has a set by Robert Jones, with lighting by Malcolm Rippeth, costumes by Emma Williams and music by Steve Parry.
