Following her sell-out shows last year, the Princess of Satire, the very talented singer Melinda Hughes, returns to Live At Zedel on February 7th & 8th and March 7th and The Pheasantry on April 10, to perform her hilarious songs lampooning celebrities, politics, the aristocracy and Melania Trump. Backed by a live jazz trio, her witty, up-to the minute show with brand new songs is not to be missed!
Melinda's satirical shows, which are always scandalous and timely, have been a smash hit in London, New York and the Edinburgh Fringe. She has performed across the UK, as well as at festivals in Bermuda, Barbados and Beirut. Her CD Smoke and Noise (Nimbus) won critical acclaim in The US and UK leading her to appear on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4 with Barry Humphries. A graduate of The Royal College of Music, Melinda toured Europe for four years as the soloist to the famous violinist Andre Rieu. She has sung many lead operatic roles including Aida, Tosca and Madame Butterfly working in more than forty countries
At Live At Zedel's and The Pheasantry, Melinda will be joined by her co-writer and musical director Jeremy Limb, whom she has performed with at numerous international festivals.
