On Valentine's Day weekend, Marquee Theatre Productions is proud to present their high flying, musical version of Peter Pan at Bristol Community College in Fall River. With Captain Hook chasing his young nemesis, Peter Pan, and Tinker Bell lighting up the stage, it promises to be a Valentine's to remember!

In the spirit of true community theater, cast members for Peter Pan were recruited throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. These include Fall River, New Bedford, Somerset, Swansea, Tiverton, Cranston, Dartmouth, Westport, Acushnet, Rehoboth, Assonet and Fairhaven.

The cast range in age from 5 to 21 years of age. Executive Producer and Co-Director, Mark Velozo, explained, "We added Lost Boys and Junior Indians to the production, so that the children of our theater company could have the opportunity to take part in a full blown Broadway show." Smiling, he added, "Auditions weren't easy, but in the end we doubled the size of our cast from 20 to 40, while still recruiting the best talent that's out there."

The cost of the entire production is estimated to run between $25,000 and $30,000. "We decided to pull out all the stops and have contracted with Flying by Foy, a company based out of Las Vegas, to fly Peter Pan and the Darling children high above the audience," said Mark. "It's the first time in BCC's history that this company has been brought in. We're really excited to give our audiences a show they'll never forget!"

With costume and set design second to none, Mark added, "We're very fortunate to have the best chorographer(Loralee Levesque) and best musical director(Juan Rodriguez) in the area." This musical version of Peter Pan will also be accompanied by a full orchestra and the voices of several dozen young actors and actresses that have rehearsed for months.

Located at the Bristol Community College's Margaret Jackson Theatre in Fall River, show dates are February 12th and 13th at 7:00 pm, and February 14th at 2:00 pm.

Tickets are $16 for Adults; $14 Seniors & Students; $10 for Children under 10.
