'The Directors of Park Theatre confirmed that, as of Wednesday morning, Dead Sheep, Jonathan Maitland's debut play about Margaret Thatcher and Geoffrey Howe, has taken £133,009, breaking the all-time box office record at Park Theatre, and is on course to finish on at least £135k when it closes on 9 May 2015. The show is also looking close to selling out, although there are still seats available for the remaining matinees.
Jez Bond, Artistic Director, said "we are thrilled that audiences, both local and from further afield, are engaging so strongly with our work - Dead Sheep has been a resounding success and the next two shows in the venue both tackle important and controversial contemporary issues; UK extremism in Hurling Rubble and the Savile scandal with Jonathan Maitland's next play, An Audience with Jimmy Savile.
