The heart of London's tap dance scene, The London Tap Jam, is hosting the Official Tap Dance UK Launch Party, and everyone's invited!

Ever wondered where tap dance started? Who inspired Gene Kelly? Or how tap dancers contributed to the civil rights movement? Maybe you'd love to bust out a shuffle at your LaLa Land themed party, or thought that some lightening-fast footwork might improve your football skills? Tap Dance UK will provide a hub for dancers, teachers and enthusiasts, with classes, educational resources, events and more. Plus, everyone loves a party, right?

The London Tap Jam, now in its 11th year, is London's only improvised tap dance and live music event. Featuring tap dancers from around the country and live jazz music from The Michèle Drees Trio, this Shoreditch secret is a night to remember.

On Sunday 25th March downstairs at Zigfrid Von Underbelly, Hoxton, the doors will open from 7pm with the action kicking off at 8pm. Standard tickets are £10 cash on the door, £8 in advance online. Participating dancers and musicians pay £6 on the door (cash only). Tap dancers can join in the free Renegade Stage class at 7:15pm for an introduction to improvisation.

Shuffle on down!
