Joseph star Lee Mead was selected to play the title role of the revival through the UK television talent search "Any Dream Will Do."

Andrew Lloyd Webber's revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will star Mead as Joseph, Preeya Kalidas as the Narrator, Dean Collinson as Pharaoh and Stephen Tate as Jacob/Potiphar/Guru.  John Alastair, Kate Alexander, Jennifer Ashton, Paul Basleigh, Verity Bentham, James Bisp, Tyman Boatwright, Simon Coulthard, Lucie Downer, Tom Gillies, Emma Harris, Pip Jordan, Louise Madison, Emily Mascarenhas, Sarah Meade, Nathaniel Morrison, Mark Oxtoby, Adam Pearce, Tamlyn Platts, Pippa Raine, Fiona Reyes, Ricky Rojas, Craig Scott, Jonathan Stewart, Kate Tydman, Russel Walker, Neal Wright and Danielle Young will comprise the ensemble.

The musical will begin previews on July 6th and open on July 18th at the Adelphi Theatre.  The show is booking through January 5th.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, with music by Webber and lyrics and book by Tim Rice, is a light-hearted reimagining of the biblical tale of Joseph, who is betrayed by his 11 brothers but finds a happy ending after adventures in Egypt.  The staging of the West End revival will be based upon that of Steven Pimlott's 1991 production.
