Kerry Katona will bring Marilyn Monroe, the silver screen's most enigmatic screen legend and enduring icon, back to life in 'Norma Jeane The Musical'. Written by Belvedere Pashun (WAG! The Musical) and with original songs from a hit song writing team including Jay Aston, Geoff Cotton Orna Klement & Tony Bayliss.

The first outing for Kerry as Marilyn will be a rehearsed reading before an invitation ONLY industry audience today, September 22nd in London. Karen Struel-White is behind the project and said:

'There were only a handful of performers that the writer Belvedere Pashun would even contemplate for the role of Marilyn Monroe and right at the top was Kerry Katona. The script isn't an ordinary Bio - Drama and Belvedere has taken a new route into the personal history of Marilyn based on little known facts from her life.

Belvedere Pashun added:
'Marilyn's life was one of extremes - poverty, abandonment, abuse followed by a flowering beauty which brought attention. fame, wealth and power and then the well documented tragic fall. I needed an actor of huge talent, personality and experience - Kerry was at the top of my list. This show will change the shape of people's perceptions of Marilyn Monroe and we expect to announce a new star of drama on stage and screen with Kerry's performance..

Kerry Katona said
'I'm thrilled to have been given this opportunity to play one of the world's biggest female icons and can't wait to get to work. A successful career in drama has always been a main goal of mine and this role is a challenge but one I'm going to grab with both hands.'
