Now in its ninth year SHORT+SWEET is the world's largest 10-minute play festival.

The 'biggest little play festival' actually began in the late 90s and became SHORT+SWEET in 2001.

SHORT+SWEET affords budding playwrights the opportunity of seeing their workcome to life on stage - it's a festival about uncovering and developing new writers.

It is now the world's largest 10-minute play festival and this year presented its1000 th new Australian work making it the largest producer of Australian theatre.

Audiences are guaranteed 10 plays a night and no play will last more than 10 minutesor less; with attention spans shrinking this is great news - everyone loves a shortnight at the theatre! They also get the chance to be part of the judging process.
