A deeply unhappy but sensationally entertaining tale of a shattered family and lost childhood in Brooklyn, New York.

At 16, Lindsay is the keeper to her drug addicted father Saul and subjected to his disdainful tirade of insults. Beaten by life, Saul lives in a ghoulish cocaine-fuelled fantasy, a man on fire, both dead and alive. With the coke supply running low, Saul is relying on Lindsay to broker his next deal in order to continue his delusional existence.

Rose Martula is a phenomenal, young talent whose distinctive writing is part of a new wave of American theatre. Her infectious style is fast gaining a cult following on both sides of the Atlantic.

Formed in January 2009 The c*ckTavern Theatre is rapidly establishing itself at the forefront of the London Fringe. Under the artistic leadership of Adam Spreadbury-Maher it is committed to seeking out and providing a platform for tomorrow's leading playwrights and directing talent. Theatre company Good Night Out Presents began in August 2008. After a residency at The White Bear Theatre, they now manage The c*ckTavern Theatre. Their World Premiere of Studies For A Portrait (Time Out Critics' Choice) transferred to Oval House earlier this year for a month. Productions include the sell-out Cosi starring Mark Little and the extended run of The Backroom (Time Out ****). Current projects include the first UK revival of The York Realist at Riverside Studios.

Playwright Rose Martula was selected as "1 of 50 playwrights to watch" by The Dramatists Guild of America. Her first play Packed was produced at the Young Playwrights Festival, New York (out of 1400 submissions). Other plays include Salsa Saved The Girls which premiered in the UK at the Old Red Lion in 2007; A Heavenly Blast and Drink Up, Baby.

Rose has won two Audrey Skirball playwriting grants, she was a semi-finalist for the prestigious Princess Grace Awards 2009 and a nominee for the esteemed LARK PONY Fellowship in New York. Venues including the Royal Court Theatre, Phillip Seymour Hoffman's company Labyrinth Theatre, The Mark Taper Forum, Geffen Playhouse, Manhattan Theatre Club and Soho Repertory have all expressed interest in Rose Martula's work.

Director Russ Hope was Resident Assistant Director at the King's Head Theatre in 2007. He has trained with the RSC, Complicit? and Improbable. Russ directed the West End premiere of The Last Five Years (Apollo Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue) - "a revelatory experience... gorgeous and moving" (Mark Shenton, The Stage) and has directed at the King's Head, Bridewell, Etcetera and Tristan Bates theatres. He has just finished a six-week stint on Troilus and Cressida (Shakespeare's Globe) as writer for a new book on directors in rehearsal.

Alex Segal's recent producing credits include: the sold out run of Jet Set Go: The Cabin Crew Musical (Jermyn Street Theatre); Stovepipe; I Caught Crabs In Walberswick and Switzerland (all HighTide Festival); The 24 Hour Plays (Old Vic) and the European Premiere of hit comedy Well (Trafalgar Studios/Apollo Theatre) starring Academy Award nominee Sarah Miles and nominated for ‘Best New Comedy' in the What's On Stage Theatregoers Choice Awards 2008.

Cast includes Jessica Ashworth: film credits include Lucy Lefroy in Becoming Jane. Television credits include a recurring role in British sit-com Genie in the House and 'Young Sarah Jane' in The Sarah Jane Adventures. Michael Goldsmith: a recent RSAMD graduate who has hit the ground running securing a guest lead in the new series of Doctor Who. Jud Charlton's many theatre credits include: Hit Me! The Life and Times of Ian Dury (Edinburgh Festival - nominated as Best Actor by The Stage); Absolutely! (perhaps) (Wyndhams Theatre directed by Franco Zeffereli); Endgame (Albery Theatre directed by Matthew Warchus); Saturday, Sunday & Monday (Chichester Festival Theatre directed by Jude Kelly); The Warp (Roundhouse directed by Ken Campbell).
