Jordan Lee Davies and More Join Parallel Productions' Gala Launch at Batttersea Barge, Sept 4

Parallel Productions present their official Gala Launch. A fusion of cabaret and concert, musical theatre and acoustic arrangements, the night will host a cast of established musical theatre performers, alongside some new talent, singing stripped back acoustic versions of musical theatre songs. The Launch will be held at the Battersea Barge, at 8pm on Wednesday 4th September.

Leading the star cast will be Jordan Lee Davies, recently seen on the BBC's The Voice, as Alan in Bare the Rock Musical, and as Dickon in The Secret Garden. Also confirmed to perform are Jeremy Legat (Frank Cioffi in Curtains, Boq in Wicked), Sabrina Aloueche (Scaramouche in We Will Rock You, Eponine in LES MISERABLES) and Ambra Caserotti (Lead Vocalist for Streets Project, Joanne in Rent). Further casting will be announced very soon.

Parallel Productions will also be launching their debut project; West End Switched OfF. West End Switched Off is a brand new, exciting series of concerts and recordings that arrange musical theatre into acoustic, 'unplugged' covers, collaborating with a wealth of talented musicians and performers. The first album, currently under production, will feature Ian Stroughair (Angel in the 20th anniversary tour of Rent), Dale Evans (Matt in Bare, Swing for upcoming production of From Here To Eternity), Tori Allen-Martin (founder of Interval Productions, writer and vocalist for Streets Project, Mimi in Rent), Simon Bailey (Jeff in [title of show], Enjolras in LES MISERABLES, Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera) and many more.

Parallel Productions is a dynamic young company, founded in 2013 by established musical director Kris Rawlinson (Streets Project, Another Way). The company was set up with the aim to produce a wide range of work, from the cutting edge and emerging to the well established, in a fresh way to engage new and diverse audiences. By joining the talent, skill and experience of well-known performers and creatives with the energy and vitality of their young, developing counterparts, Parallel Productions hopes to make some electrifying work in the coming months and years.

The Gala will give you an exclusive glimpse of what is to come with West End Switched Off, with performers singing songs from the upcoming album accompanied by live musicians. It will be an intimate and thrilling chance to experience some of your favourite musical theatre stars perform songs you know - and a few you might not - in a way you've never heard before.
