The Daily Mail reports that Downton Abbey's Jim Carter and West End and screen star Imelda Staunton, who also happen to be husband and wife, will be curating a series of British film classics at the Tricycle Theatre in London, beginning January 19 with A PRIVATE FUNCTION.

The screening on the 19th will be followed by a Q&A with writer Alan Bennett, director Malcolm Mowbray and stars Michael Palin and Bill Paterson.
Next in the lineup is TOPSY TURVY on February 9, with Lesley Manville, Allan Corduner and Ron Cook set for the Q&A, hosted by Carter.
BRASSED OFF will screen on March 9, and director Mark Herman, along with Stephen Tompkinson, Sue Johnston and Philip Jackson will be present for the talkback.
Finally, SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE is set for April 13. Colin Firth will participate in the Q&A with both Carter and Staunton.

Staunton's West End roles include Mrs. Lovett in last year's Sweeney Todd, Miss Adelaide and Mimi in two different productions of Guys and Dolls, The Baker's Wife in Into the Woods, for which she won an Olivier Award in 1991, and another Olivier-winning turn in two 1985 plays: A Chorus of Disapproval and The Corn Is Green. She will be starring as Rose in the upcoming London revival of GYPSY this year. Staunton will next appear on the big screen in Maleficent and is in talks to star with Michael Ball in the BBC TV series Tubby and Enid. Her recent screen credits include The Awakening and the Harry Potter series, as well as the TV series Doctor Who, Psychoville, Cranford, Big and Small, Little Britain and more.
Aside from his role as the unbending 'Mr. Carson' in Downton Abbey, Carter has graced the big screen in My Week with Marilyn, Punk Strut: The Movie, Alice in Wonderland, Creation, Burlesque Fairytales, Red Riding, The Oxford Murders, The Golden Compass and more. His TV credits include Cranford, Silent Witness, Dinotopia, The Way We Live Now, Murder Most Horrid, Ain't Misbehavin' and more.
