Talk show host Jerry Springer will substitute for David Hasselhoff as Captain Hook in the UK's New Wimbledon Theatre's panto production of Peter Pan, from December 31 - January 8 as well as January 13-14. Hasselhoff has begun previews of the show and will continue with the production through December 30, and return for performances January 8-12 and January 15-16.

Springer has previously appeared on stage as Billy Flynn in Chicago, playing the role in the West End and on Broadway. In addition, he performed in the musical on its U.S. tour. He is perhaps best known for his talk show, The Jerry Springer Show, now celebrating 20 seasons on the air, and from appearances on such reality shows as America's Got Talent and Dancing With the Stars.
