Rifco today announces the appointment of Jenny Roberts as its new Executive Director. Roberts takes up the post on 13 June, joining the team as Rifco embarks on a brand new programme of work for the next three years.
Jenny Roberts said today, "I am hugely excited to be joining Rifco as its Executive Director. I've been a friend of the company for ten years and an admirer of Pravesh who has successfully carved out a unique place for the company in the sector and attracted a whole new audience to his rich, vibrant and accessible shows."
Rifco Artistic Director Pravesh Kumar said today, "I am delighted to have Jenny Roberts join our Rifco team. She brings a wealth of experience, passion for the company and will be integral to our sustained growth as a leading British touring theatre company."
Jenny Roberts has over 30 years' experience working in theatre and arts management and most recently she has spent three years working as a freelance consultant. This has included two extended periods, as Special Projects Director at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2013/14 and as Interim Executive Director with Shobana Jeyasingh Dance in 2014/15. In addition, her project work during this time has included fundraising, recruitment and evaluation for a range of clients. From 2007-2013 she worked for Arts Council England as a Relationship Manager Theatre based in Brighton working alongside a wide range of organisations and artists over her six-year stay. Prior to this she was Administrative Director at Oxfordshire Touring Theatre Company, an organisation specialising in new writing for audiences in rural areas nationally.
Roberts takes over from Bryan Savery who has moved to literary charity Free Word.
