Jacob Chapman Joins USHERS as 'Robin Pocketts'; Show Opens Tonight

Jacob Chapman is the new villainous failed-opera- singer-come-theatre-manager, Robin Pocketts, for the month-long West End run of USHERS: The Front of House Musical.

Chapman's previous West End credits include playing the rebel leader in We Will Rock You (Dominion) and Combeferre and understudy Jean Valjean in Les Miserables (Queens). For director Thom Southerland his leading roles included Tom Collins in Rent, The Mikado in The Mikado, Charlie Davenport in Annie Get Your Gun and Henri in Carnival of the Animals.

The returning cast are: Daniel Buckley, Ceris Hine, Ross McNeill, Liam Ross-Mills, Carly Thoms.

After receiving a clutch of 5-star rave reviews and great audiences in a late night slot, USHERS: The Front of House Musical has been promoted is now the main show at Charing Cross Theatre from Tuesday 13 May to Saturday 7 June. Press night is tonight, 14 May at 8.00pm.

Set in the West End theatre hosting Oops! I Did It Again, The Britney Spears Musical, USHERS: The Front of House Musical follows a working shift in the lives of the stagiest people in the theatre - the front of house staff. It portrays the hilarious, ridiculous and frequently moving stories of ice-cream and programme sellers who dare to dream...including a three-year workplace romance that is on the rocks, an untrained newbie working her first shift and the amorous manager who is under pressure to cut costs. What could possibly go wrong?

USHERS: The Front of House Musical has big, bold company numbers, Fosse-like ice cream tray choreography and a script with heart, soul and an ice-bucket full of laughs.
