Set in the trenches at Saint-Quentin, France, in 1918 towards the end of the First World War, JOURNEY'S END gives a glimpse into the experiences of the officers of a British Army infantry company in World War I. The entire story plays out in the officers' dugout over four days from March 18th to March 21st, 1918. JOURNEY'S END won both the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play and The Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revival of a Play.
The play premiered on Broadway in 1929 and was last revived in London in 2004 and on Broadway in 2006. The production reportedly will play the West End's Duke of Yorks Theatre beginning July 19th; tickets for the limited engagement are selling through September 3rd via Ambassador Tickets.
