Inner City Productions presents the world premiere of "BOdEGA lung fat" by Mike Batistick
Directed by Sam Noephytou

Cast consists of Mitzi Thaddeus, George Georgiou, Pierre Mascolo, Daniel Frost and Stephen Hoo.

MARCH 11 - MARCH 28
OPENING NIGHT: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11th @ 8:00 PM

Set on the harsh streets of Brooklyn, New York, a group of fast talking wise cracking Spics, Micks, Gooks and a Hasidic Jew prick the liberal conscience of an America on the cusp of a new dawn with its old adversary "life" dragging them back to the curb. The characters on this side-walk deal with the effects and consequences of their troubled interconnecting lives as they negotiate their way through drug abuse, euthanasia, prostitution,
rape, racism, alcoholism and poverty.

'Inner City Productions' is a company that is inspired by the challenges of life in our inner cities. Multi-cultural and multi-faceted, we bring new works to stage and screen that both question and delight.

REVIEWS FROM PREVIOUS PLAYS FROM INNER CITY PRODUCTIONS

"Witty, fast-paced production... excellent performances all round... an outstanding scene between George Georgiou and Jonathan Coyne that was as moving as it was horrific... Melissa Collier's fantastically brash and feisty Rosalind... by far the best fringe production I've
seen this year... a must-see..." * * * *

"Achieves a gritty, hard-edged realism..."
- The Spectator

"A wry understanding of the emotional dependences and mechanisms that drive relations... very believable..." * * * *

"Fresh, witty... taut and tense... enjoyable and real..."

"An excellent play expertly executed by a talented cast of six... some
cracking one-liners.. a very entertaining evening out..." * * * *

"Sam Neophytou's production is a nicely judged example of close-up
naturalism.. there is an unstoppable tragic momentum which builds to
an unexpected bleakly beautiful resolution..." * * * *

"Beautifully written and packed with sharp humour..."
