A new production of the Henrik Ibsen classic, GHOSTS, will end its run at the West End's Duchess theatre on March 27th. The production is a new interpretation by author Frank McGuinness and stars Lesley Sharp, Iain Glen, Harry Treadaway, Jessica Raine and Malcolm Storry.

Controversy and hidden pasts are suddenly and painfully exposed as wealthy widow Mrs Alving prepares to open a new orphanage in memory of her seemingly beloved husband. Her treasured son Oswald's return from Paris and her relationship with old friend Pastor Manders are no longer the source of joy they once were, as secrets are turned into a frightening and desperate reality.

The production began its run February 11th with a February 23rd opening and was originally scheduled to close May 15th. GHOSTS was directed by Iain Glen making his directorial debut.

Apart from directing, Iain Glen plays ‘Pastor Manders' and Lesley Sharp plays opposite as ‘Mrs Alving'. Both award-winning actors, Iain Glen and Lesley Sharp are equally well known for their film and television work as for their highly-praised stage work. Harry Treadaway, upcoming young star of British film and television (including "Afterlife", alongside Lesley Sharp and Anthony DeEmmony's "Recovery", opposite David Tennant), plays ‘Oswald'. Jessica Raine, newly graduated from RADA and seen in "Gethsemane" at the National Theatre, plays ‘Regine'. Malcolm Storry, a veteran of the West End and recently ‘Gandolf' in "The Lord Of The Rings" at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and ‘Basilio' in "Life Is A Dream" at the Donmar, plays ‘Engstrand'.

"GHOSTS" was designed by Stephen Brimson Lewis, with lighting by Oliver Fenwick, and sound & music by Richard Hammarton. Amelia Sears acts as associate director.

"GHOSTS" was co-presented in the West End by Thelma Holt and Nica Burns.
