Alex Parker brings the award-winning and critically acclaimed Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler musical A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC to the Yvonne Arnaud, in a special concert reading of the show on June 16.

Inspired by Ingmar Bergman's film, Smiles Of A Summer Night, the action takes place in a weekend country house in turn-of-the-century Sweden. The party consists of middle-aged lawyer Fredrik Egerman, his teenage trophy wife Anne, his son Henrik, the intriguing and beautiful actress Desirée Armfeldt, her mother Mme Armfeldt, the ferociously jealous Count Carl-Magnus and his long-suffering wife Charlotte. The show features a 28-piece on-stage orchestra and songs such as Send In The Clowns, A Weekend In The Country and Every Day A Little Death.

The evening will feature an all star West End cast including two-time Olivier Award Winner Janie Dee (Carousel, Comic Potential, Noises Off) as Desirée Armfeldt, David Birrell (Ragtime, Spamalot, Passion) as Frederik Egerman, two-time Olivier Award Winner Joanna Riding (Carousel, The Witches of Eastwick, My Fair Lady) as Countess Charlotte Malcolm, Hadley Fraser (Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, The Pirate Queen) as Count Carl- Magnus Malcolm, Anna O'Byrne (Love Never Dies, The Phantom of the Opera) as Anne Egerman, FRA FEE (Les Miserables Movie) as Henrik Egerman, Laura Pitt-Pulford (Mack and Mabel, Sunset Boulevard, Hello Dolly) as Petra. The cast also includes Nadim Naaman as Mr Erlanson, Scott Garnham as Mr Lindquist, Kimberly Blake as Mrs Nordstrom, Lisa-Anne Wood as Mrs Anderssen and LAURA SILLETT as Mrs Segstrom.

Further casting is still to be announced. Tickets are priced at £29 & £26 and can be booked on the Yvonne Arnaud website at http://www.yvonne-arnaud.co.uk/ or booked over the phone at 01483 440000.
