After a sell-out critically acclaimed West End run in 2014, Sally Cookson's Olivier Award nominated production of Hetty Feather returns to the West End with a limited summer run at the Duke of York's Theatre from 6 August to 6 September. The West End run will form part of a major national tour which begins at Bristol Old Vic in July and continues through 2016, with an extended Christmas run at The Lowry, Salford.

ROLL UP and join Hetty on her escape from the Foundling Hospital.
TREMBLE as she faces Matron Stinking Bottomly.
THRILL as she discovers the squirrel house and Tanglefields Travelling Circus.
GASP as she endures a night locked in the attic.
QUAKE as she braves the scary streets of Victorian London and
CHEER as she overcomes all in the search to find her real mother and a true family of her own.

Thrillingly brought to life with live music and songs by Benji Bower, aerial and circus skills - making it the must-see show this summer.

Jacqueline Wilson said today, "I am so thrilled that Hetty Feather has become a stage play! I've written exactly one hundred books but Hetty Feather is my number one favourite character and I'm delighted that she will be back on stage again from July onwards. The team behind the production have done a magnificent job bringing the book to life and I'm so pleased that the forthcoming tour will allow even more people to see this wonderful show."

Hetty Feather is published by Random House, and the first in a trilogy of books which includes Sapphire Battersea and Emerald Star - the series has been hugely successful not just in the UK, but also internationally. It is currently being adapted as a new 10 part television series for CBBC, due to be aired later this year.

From 2005 to 2007 she was the Children's Laureate. Her 100th book Opal Plumstead was published last year.

Emma Reeves (playwright) has worked with Wilson on a number of projects, most notably writing the television adaptations for the Tracy Beakerseries. Her other stage adaptations include Carrie's War (West End & UK tour), Little Women and Cool Hand Luke in the West End. For television, her other work includes Eve (CBBC).

For The Tobacco Factory, theatre includes 101 Dalmations, Cinderella, The Ugly Duckling, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.
