The Landor Theatre is delighted to announce its first production for 2014, a revival of American musical comedy No Way to Treat a Lady, which will play at the Landor Theatre from Tuesday 21 January 2014 (press night Friday 24 January at 7.30pm). On sale now.

Based on William Goldman's best selling novel that became an Academy Award-winning movie, No Way to Treat a Lady is a theatrically charged musical comedy thriller about a publicity crazed actor and the endearing detective who persistently pursues him. Take a seat and watch in anticipation as Detective Brummell of the NYPD chases a murderous master of disguises through New York City, unravelling a complex tale involving an Irish priest, a Spanish dancer, a French waiter, a pizza delivery boy and a pair of dominating mothers! A darkly hilarious musical full of twists and turns, No Way to Treat a Lady is a devilish blend of humour, romance and murder.

A Richard Rodgers Development Award winner, No Way to Treat a Lady received its World Premiere in 1987 off-Broadway in a sold-out, extended run at the Hudson Guild Theatre. It received an off-Broadway revival in 1996 at the York Theatre Company where it was nominated for two Outer Critics Circle Awards (Best Revival and Best Featured Actress) and a Drama Desk Award.

The cast features Graham Mackay-Bruce as Morris Brummell, Simon Loughton as Christopher "Kit" Gill, Kelly Burke as Sarah Stone and Judith Paris as Flora Brummell, Alexandra Gill and The Victims.

No Way to Treat a Lady has a book, music and lyrics by Douglas J. Cohen and is based upon the novel by William Goldman. It is directed by Robert McWhir with choreography by Cressida Carre, design by Robert Griffin, lighting design by Richard Lambert and musical direction by Nicholas Chave. It is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French Ltd.

The Landor Theatre is one of London's most adventurous and attractive little theatres. Starting life in 1994 as the Cage Theatre, for almost 20 years it has developed an extraordinary reputation for programming new and exciting work, with a commitment to housing new and rarely seen musicals in an intimate setting.
