Grace Rowe Plays 'Estella' in West End Stage Adaptation of GREAT EXPECTATIONS from Feb 1

As reported by the Daily Mail, Grace Rowe will star as 'Estella' in the new stage adaptation of Charles Dickens' Great Expectations by Jo Clifford. The production has been touring the UK and will begin performances at the West End's Vaudeville Theatre today, February 1st.

Joining Jack Ellis as Jaggers, Chris Ellison as Magwitch, Paul Nivison as Adult Pip and Paula Wilcox as Miss Havisham are Taylor Jay-Davies as Young Pip, with Katy Allen as Camilla Pocket, Gordon Brandie as Bentley Drummle, Josh Elwell as Cousin Raymond, Nathan Guy as Herbert Pocket, Isabelle Joss as Mrs Joe/Sarah Pocket, Steve North as Joe Gargery, Brian Pettifer as Wemmick, Suzanne Robertson as Biddy and James Vaughan as Wopsle.

GREAT EXPECTATIONS has been adapted for the stage by Jo Clifford, with direction by Graham McLaren, set by Robin Peoples, costumes by Annie Gosney and Graham McLaren, lighting by Kai Fischer, original music by Simon Slater and sound by Matt McKenzie. Giovanni Bedin for House of Worth will be creating the couture elements of the show, including Miss Havisham's wedding dress. Charles Frederick Worth, the world's first official couturier, was a contemporary of Charles Dickens.

Rowe most recently played the rôle of 'Phyllis' in the Olivier Award winning production of The Railway Children at London's Waterloo Station. Other theatre credits include: Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird (York Theatre Royal/No.1 UK Tour); House Maid/Understudied, played Bobby and Phyllis in The Railway Children (London Waterloo Station); Foible in The Way of the World (Barons Court Theatre); Kate in Rentaghost (UK Tour); the title role in Cinderella (The Hazlitt Theatre/The Cresset Theatre). Film credits include: Young Woman The Sleeper (Short Film); Emma Wrong Love (Short Film).

This version of Great Expectations follows the release of the new film, still in theaters, starring Jeremy Irvine, Holliday Grainger, Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes.
