Gemma Arterton was recently in the recording studio working on the upcoming musical Made In Dagenham, which is about when women mechanics working at Ford Motors demanded equal pay. Even though the equal pay law has been passed, according to The Daily Mail, Arterton is angry because the law has yet to be taken seriously.

Arterton stated, "It may have passed into law, but it's still not in the workplace."

The composer of the new musical, David Arnold, agrees. He commented, "There's still so much discussion about women working and not being fairly paid." He went on to discuss the musical: "We're looking at the past with a view to the future and the present. You can look at what happened to the Dagenham women with the benefit of hindsight and contemporise it without moving out of the Sixties."

Made In Dagenham is set to open at the Adelphi Theatre on October 9.
