Actor David McGranaghan, who is currently starring as Nick Massi in the West End production of Jersey Boys, is not only enjoying success on stage; he's also making his mark as a board game entrepreneur. His invention Game For Fame has recently had the honour of being ranked in Amazon's top 5 best selling board games as well as receiving a whole host of 5 star reviews on the site.

2 years ago, David, who is originally from Scotland and has previously appeared at the RSC and the Donmar, teamed up with fellow actor Joseph Pitcher (RSC, RNT, West End) to create Game for Fame. Since then the party board game, which is 'a funny fight for fame and fortune against your friends and family', has gained a huge following on social media as well as some notable celebrity fans (Craig Revel-Horwood amongst them). It has proven popular with a diverse range of people: families, adults, students, actors and non-actors alike.

David puts the success of the game down to its originality, inclusivity and humour; "Anyone can get involved. The activities you take part in are just a bit of fun but there's still that slightly competitive element that everyone loves about classic board games. What's amazing to hear over and over again is how much people laugh whilst playing Game for Fame - that's a theme that's consistent in the reviews on Amazon".

The game itself involves making your way from 'on the dole' unemployment to superstar status by taking part in a number of silly tasks: trying your hand at different accents, gargling popular tunes, acting our charade-type mimes, tackling tongue-twisters and much more.
