The National Theatre has announced that Elevator Repair Service's production of GATZ will play at the West End's Noel Coward Theatre this June. The production will be presented by LIFT, the London International Festival of Theatre.
GATZ is a remarkable re-enactment of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s masterpiece 'The Great Gatsby'. The play is an epic 8-hour theatrical experience, including an extended break. Performances will begin on June 8th and will run through July 15th.
The Public Theater, which originally staged the production in 2010, will revive the show this spring for a limited seven-week engagement. Created and performed by Elevator Repair Service, this award-winning theatrical event, directed by John Collins and featuring Scott Shepherd as Nick, will begin previews on Wednesday, March 14 and run through Sunday, May 6 for 28 performances only in the Newman Theater.
GATZ was created and developed by the Elevator Repair Service ensemble, which includes Laurena Allan (Myrtle), Frank Boyd (George), Jim Fletcher (Jim), Ross Fletcher (Henry C. Gatz), Mike Iveson (Ewing), Vin Knight (Chester), Annie McNamara (Catherine), Kate Scelsa (Lucille), Scott Shepherd (Nick), Susie Sokol (Jordan), Victoria Vazquez (Daisy), and Ben Williams (Michaelis).
