Frog & Peach Theatre Co. Presents TINKERBELL THEATRE, 4/17-5/9

FROG & PEACH THEATRE CO. is pleased to present their production of TINKERBELL THEATRE directed by Lynnea Benson. TINKERBELL THEATRE will play a four-week limited engagement at The West End Theatre. Performances begin Saturday, April 17 and continue through to Sunday, May 9. Opening Performance is Saturday, April 17 (10:30 a.m.). TINKERBELL THEATRE will be featured in repertory with the company's production of MACBETH, which premieres April 15th.

Featuring sing-along songs by Ted Zurkowski and playful puppets by Spica Wobbe, TINKERBELL THEATRE will whisk you and your family off to a secret land of enchantment you'll want to visit again and again.

CINDERELLA (program A)
The story of a young girl dispossessed by her murderous Stepmother and wicked Stepsisters. Will Cinderella's friendship with two magical birds help her go to the Three Day Ball? Will she get to meet the charming Prince Dreamboat and compare notes with him on Ornithology? Will the King and Queen finally be able to retire to Boca? And what about that slipper?

THE TINDERBOX (program B)
A Pure-hearted Soldier, an enchanted forest, a Wicked Witch, a Beautiful (but lonesome) Princess, three unforgettable Dogs, and a magical Tinderbox bring you whatever your heart desires...with hilarious results!

The production features scenic design by Jak Prince, costume design by Laura Taber Bacon, choreography by Tom Knutson, and puppetry by Spica Wobbe. Jenna Lazar is the associate producer and Alexandra H. Rubin is assistant director.

TINKERBELL THEATRE plays the following regular schedule through Sunday, May 9:

Saturdays at 10:30 am and Sundays at 11:45 am - Program A
Sundays at 10:30 am and Saturdays at 11:45 am - Program B

All performances are followed by a puppet-making workshop.

The West End Theatre is located at The Church of St. Paul & St. Andrew on 263 West 86th Street, 2nd Fl. Tickets are $10 in advance online and $12 at the door. BIOGRAPHIES

LYNNEA BENSON (Writer/Director) Artistic Director and co-founder of The Frog & Peach Theatre Co. has directed a number of projects there, including Hamlet starring Austin Pendleton, King John starring Academy Award nominee Catalina Sandino Merino, and As You Like It starring Sidney Williams. She's a member of The Actors Studio and attended Barnard College.

FROG AND PEACH THEATRE CO. is committed to dispelling the "rocket science" myth of Shakespeare by bringing wildly entertaining productions of Shakespeare's plays to the people of New York. We don't dumb down the texts or engage in stunt period stuff (Wild West Winter's Tale? Not here.)-we painstakingly craft the scripts to appeal to Shakespeare fans and Gen-Y alike.
