Frank Grimes was born in Dublin and trained at The Abbey Theatre. He scored an early success on Broadway as Brendan Behan in the Tony Award winning Borstal Boy. Frank received a Tony Nomination for Best Actor and was voted, "Most Promising Actor" by the New York critics in Variety. Frank has worked extensively in the London theatre, including the Royal Court, the Royal Shakespeare Company and The National Theatre. His many television and film credits include, A Bridge Too Far, My Son, My Son, The Outsider, Britannia Hospital, The Whales of August, , When The Sky Falls, and more recently he was Barry in Coronation Street. His most recent stage appearance was in the Jermyn Street production of All That Fall. Frank Grimes's one man show "the he and the she of it..." is a riveting portrait of one of the world's greatest literary figures, James Joyce. With extracts from Finnegans Wake, Ulysses, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man and Dubliners, this performance is a superb tribute to the man and his work.
