The musical We Will Rock You, featuring the music of iconic rock band Queen, will take its final curtain call on May 31st at the West End's Dominion Theatre. However WhatsOnStage reports that a follow-up to the production may be in the works.

Following two weeks of development, Queen guitarist Brian May, the musical's book writer Ben Elton, and members of the cast, presented a workshop performance of a sequel to the show in London. Teased May on his blog, "The news is leakily out there. We did it! We workshopped the SEEK [sequel]... To great acclaim in a tiny room in Belsize Park... After just two weeks insanely intense 24/7 work. The seed is sown! My thanks to all for the passion that everyone put in."

Along with the post, May included a photo featuring cast members (at left) and the potential title for the upcoming production, 'TSMGO' or 'The Show Must Go On.' No details have been revealed as to whether the sequel will feature additional songs from the Queen back catalogue, or new material.

We Will Rock You (WWRY) is a musical based on the songs of Queen with a book by Ben Elton. The musical tells the story of a group of Bohemians who struggle to restore the free exchange of thought, fashion, and live music in a distant future where everyone dresses, thinks and does the same. Musical instruments and composers are forbidden, and rock music is all but unknown.

Directed by Christopher Renshaw and choreographed by Arlene Phillips, the original West End production opened at the Dominion Theatre on May 14 2002, with Tony Vincent, Hannah Jane Fox, Sharon D. Clarke and Kerry Ellis in principal roles. The musical has become an audience favourite, becoming the longest-running musical at the Dominion Theatre, celebrating its tenth anniversary on May 14 2012.

The show features more than 30 of Queen's greatest hits including "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", "Under Pressure", "Radio Gaga" and "We Will Rock You".
