Frances Barber, Fiona Button, Deborah Findlay, and Jenny Galloway have been announced for the Michael Grandage production of Yukio Mishima's 1965 Japanese play Madame de Sade. The play stars Dame Judi Dench and Roasmund Pike.
Preview performances begin March 13th, 2009, as part of the Donmar Warehouse's current residency at Wyndham's Theatre. The play officially opens March 18th and continues through May 23rd.
Madame de Sade will be presented in a translation by Donald Keene, tells the story of five women who were affected by the debauchery of the Marquis de Sade. Dench plays the Marquis' mother-in-law, Madame de Montreuil.
The Donmar just opened Grandage's production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.
