Evans, Page, Prenger And More Featured In 'BROADWAY TO WEST END' Benefit Concert 10/4

A Sunday evening concert at Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 4th October 2009 will celebrate the career of award-winning arranger and orchestrator, William David Brohn.

Music and songs from Show Boat to Oliver! With a cast of stars from the West End including: Rosemary Ashe, Graham Bickley, Kim Criswell, Daniel Evans, Gareth Gates, Alison Jiear, Josie Lawrence, Alistair McGowan, Robyn North, Charlotte Page, Jodie Prenger, Joanna Riding, plus many more to be announced.

Special appearances by: Stephen Flaherty, Christopher Jahnke, Claude-Michel Schonberg, Stiles & Drew, Gareth ValentineBill Deamer will direct and choreograph the benefit concert. The performers will be backed by a 40-piece orchestra conducted by Stephen Brooker and Martin Koch.

Top show songs from Carousel, Crazy for You, Curtains, Mary Poppins, Miss Saigon, My Fair Lady, Oklahoma! Oliver! Ragtime, Show Boat, South Pacific, Sweet Smell of Success, The Three Musketeers, Wicked, The Witches of Eastwick will be featured.

Producers Richard Morris and Doug Pinchin commented in a statement to WhatsOnStage that, "We've got an amazing line up of talent singing a whole range of show music ... Alongside great numbers like 'I Got Rhythm' and 'The Wizard and I' we're also delighted to be championing some exciting lesser performed pieces with songs from George Stiles' The Three Musketeers, Marvin Hamlisch's Sweet Smell of Success and Kander & Ebb's Curtains. We hope to make it a very special evening indeed."

All proceeds to go to support CLIC Sargent, the UK's leading children's cancer charity.
