After last year's critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe, Emma Sidi brings Telenovela to the Soho Theatre from Thursday 16th- Saturday 18th of March. A dramatic-beyond-reason Spanish-language soap opera comedy that's not for the faint hearted, Telenovela blends Mexican passion, transglobal heartache and telly-obsessed drama.

We're talking intercontinental emotion for the stage. With dancing. Yeah, there's that too. This is no soap opera. This is Telenovela.

Emma has written, performed and directed her own material across the globe. First grabbing attention with a collection of online character comedy shorts, Emma has since delighted audiences with her performances at renowned nights such as Knock2bag, The Invisible Dot's New Wave and The Pleasance Hub. Last year she debuted in an online mini-series, Sweet Home Lahnsteineringa, with James Acaster and was a crowd favourite at both Latitude Festival and Machynlleth Comedy Festival. This summer Emma is heading to Australia to perform as part of the 'New Order' at Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2017.

Emma's acting work spans from the Manchester International Festival where in 2015 she starred alongside Simon Bird in Tom Basden's premiere of The Crocodile to gracing the stage at Soho Theatre with Adam Riches to rave reviews. This year, Emma stars in several BBC comedy projects including BBC3's Pls Like, BBC2's W1A and BBC1's Hospital People as well as in Comedy Central's soon to air series of Drunk History. Her writing credits include online shorts for Mr Box and a sitcom in development with the BBC in association with Objective Fiction Productions.
