WICKED, the classic West End musical that tells the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, is pleased to announce that Natalie Andreou will join the company from Monday 2 February 2015 as Standby Elphaba.
Natalie Andreou most recently starred as 'Sherrie' in the musical Rock of Ages at the Shaftesbury Theatre and Garrick Theatre. She can currently be seen (until 4 January 2015) as 'Snow White' in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Manchester Opera House, alongside Priscilla Presley and Warwick Davis.
Acclaimed U.S. star Jennifer DiNoia, who was recently nominated for a WhatsOnStage Award, plays her final performance as Elphaba on 31 January 2015. Emma Hatton assumes the role from 2 February 2015.
The London production currently stars Jennifer DiNoia* (Elphaba), Savannah Stevenson (Glinda), Jeremy Taylor (Fiyero), Liza Sadovy (Madame Morrible), Martyn Ellis (The Wizard), Philip Childs (Doctor Dillamond), Sam Lupton (Boq), Katie Rowley Jones (Nessarose), Emma Hatton (Standby Elphaba) andSophie Linder-Lee (Standby Glinda). *Jennifer DiNoia is appearing with the support of UK Equity, incorporating the Variety Artistes' Federation, pursuant to an exchange program between American Equity and UK Equity.
Recently acclaimed as "one of the greatest musicals of our time" (Daily Mail), Wicked is the 10th longest running show in the West End and will soon play its 3500th performance.
While continuing its open-ended London run, a spectacular UK touring production is also now playing until July 2015 (and is currently at the Edinburgh Playhouse until 10 January 2015).
Around the world, Wicked has already been seen by over 44 million people in 13 countries and won 100 international awards. The original Broadway production remains "Broadway's biggest blockbuster" (The New York Times) after more than 11 years at the Gershwin Theatre.
