Marc Elliott (EastEnders, the National's The History Boys, Royal Shakespeare Company's The Lord of the Flies), playing Mr. McQueen, joins the previously announced Richard Fleeshman (Ghost, Legally Blonde, Coronation Street) as Bobby Strong, Jenna Russell (Merrily We Roll Along, Sunday in the Park with George) as Penelope Pennywise and Jonathan Slinger (RSC's Hamlet, Richard II) as Officer Lockstock in the multi Tony Award-winning URINETOWN The Musical, directed by Jamie Lloyd (Macbeth, The Hothouse, The Pride) at the St James Theatre.
Further cast announced today for URINETOWN The Musical are Chris Bennett (Swing), Alasdair Buchan (Swing), Karis Jack (Little Sally), Aaron Lee Lambert (Billy Boy Bill), Jeff Nicholson (Tiny Tom), Adam Pearce (Officer Barrel) and Charlotte Scott (Swing).
They join Katie Bernstein (Little Becky Two Shoes), Cory English (Old Man Strong/Hot Blades Harry), Madeleine Harland (Soupy Sue), Rosanna Hyland (Hope Cladwell), Julie Jupp (Old Woman/Josephine Strong), Mark Meadows (Senator Fipp), Joel Montague (Swing), Jo Napthine (Swing) and Matthew Seadon-Young (Robbie The Stockfish).
Jamie Lloyd is directing the UK premiere of URINETOWN The Musical in a new production, with music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann and book and lyrics by Greg Kotis. The musical runs at the St James Theatre from 22 February until 3 May 2014, with opening night on 11 March 2014.

URINETOWN The Musical ran on Broadway to great acclaim from 2001 until 2004 and was nominated for ten Tony Awards, and won for Best Book, Best Score and Best Direction. Marc Elliott is best known from his role as Syed Masood in EastEnders. Karis Jack made her professional debut as Little Inez/Dynamite in Hairspray in Kuala Lumpur & Singapore. Urinetown The Musical will be her first role on stage in the UK.
Aaron Lee Lambert's stage credits include Shrek The Musical at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, Sister Actat the London Palladium, Jerry Springer The Opera and First Lady Suite both at Edinburgh Fringe, Show Boat at the Carnegie Hall, Meet John Doe at the Norma Terris Theatre, Chester, USA, But The Giraffeand Brundibar at the New Victory Theatre, USA, Angels at the New York Musical Theater Festival andUsher at the NYC Fringe. Aaron has also written the book, music and lyrics for From Up Here, which had its world premiere in June 2012 and was broadcast live on whatsonstage.com. Aaron's work also includes Music from the Films of Tim Burton at the Royal Albert Hall and UK Tour and as a backup singer for the UK Tour of Josh Groban's recent All That Echoes.
