Ellie Nunn, daughter of Shakespearean legend Sir Trevor Nunn, is making her West End Shakespeare debut in the role of Viola for Grassroots Shakespeare London as part of Shakespeare 400. The role was memorably played by her mother, Imogen Stubbs in the 1996 film directed by Sir Trevor.

John Pickard, star of Hollyoaks and Two Point Four Children will play the comedy lead of Sir Toby Belch.

They are joined by Richard Soames of the Chortle Award nominated comedy troupe The Beta Males, as Feste. Richard also co-wrote and performed in the Fosters Best Newcomer Award nominated show The Story Beast. Returning ensemble members are Emily Jane Kerr (Call the Midwife) as Maria, Jim Conway (Sherlock, Quantam of Solace) as Malvolio and Benjamin Bonar as Sir Andrew Aguecheek. Full casting is to be announced.

The multi Off West End Award nominated Company have also been announced today as the first resident Shakespeare company in the West End since the RSC, taking up their new home at Leicester Square Theatre. Following on from their sold-out run of Othello starring James Alexandrou, the ensemble will be creating new shows and workshops at the theatre. They will premiere their original stagings of the play, devised especially for the Leicester Square Theatre's studio space.

Leicester Square Theatre said, "We're thrilled to welcome back Grassroots Shakespeare following their sold out run in 2014. We're looking forward to supporting the creation of new and exciting work, particularly to celebrate Shakespeare 400 this year"

Artistic Director and Producer Siobhan Daly said, "We are absolutely delighted to be coming back to Leicester Square Theatre as the only resident Shakespeare company in the West End and we are excited to have this opportunity to keep bringing great quality, accessible productions to our audiences. We are looking forward to celebrating Shakespeare 400 with our new show and our great cast."

Grassroots is well known for its high quality performances, its Original Practices methods and their shows being devised fresh by each new ensemble. They produce stripped back, textually rigorous and fun productions to engage with all audiences.

The press performance for TWELFTH NIGHT will take place on Tuesday 12th April 2014 at 7pm.
