John Pickard, star of Hollyoaks and Two Point Four Children will play the comedy lead of Sir Toby Belch.
They are joined by Richard Soames of the Chortle Award nominated comedy troupe The Beta Males, as Feste. Richard also co-wrote and performed in the Fosters Best Newcomer Award nominated show The Story Beast. Returning ensemble members are Emily Jane Kerr (Call the Midwife) as Maria, Jim Conway (Sherlock, Quantam of Solace) as Malvolio and Benjamin Bonar as Sir Andrew Aguecheek. Full casting is to be announced.
The multi Off West End Award nominated Company have also been announced today as the first resident Shakespeare company in the West End since the RSC, taking up their new home at Leicester Square Theatre. Following on from their sold-out run of Othello starring James Alexandrou, the ensemble will be creating new shows and workshops at the theatre. They will premiere their original stagings of the play, devised especially for the Leicester Square Theatre's studio space.

Grassroots is well known for its high quality performances, its Original Practices methods and their shows being devised fresh by each new ensemble. They produce stripped back, textually rigorous and fun productions to engage with all audiences.
The press performance for TWELFTH NIGHT will take place on Tuesday 12th April 2014 at 7pm.
