Dominic Rowan and Kate Duchene Star in THE CHERRY ORCHARD at the Young Vic, Now thru Nov 29

The Young Vic presents Katie Mitchell's production of Anton Chekhov's THE CHERRY ORCHARD, set to run today, October 10 - November 29, 2014. Dominic Rowan will star as 'Alexander Lopakhin' opposite Kate Duchêne in the play adapted by Olivier winner Simon Stephens (A Doll's House, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time). Also starring are Angus Wright, Gawn Grainger and Paul Hilton.

On the Young Vic's website, the show is described as: "Vigorous and profound, this new version...is an anguished and heartbreaking love letter to a society in violent transition."

Rowan last appeared at the Young Vic in Stephens' A Doll's House, which later transferred to the West End. The actor is also set to appear in Medea at the National Theatre this summer.

Duchêne has appeared in many productions with the National Theatre, including Hansel And Gretel, A Woman Killed With Kindness and Beauty And The Beast. Wright starred in Mitchell's productions of The Cat In The Hat at the Young Vic, Wastwater at the Royal Court, and Chekhov's Three Sisters and The Seagull at the National. Grainger is currently starring in the National Theatre's A Small Family Business; Hilton last appeared at the Young Vic in The Daughter In Law.

Also in the cast are Natalie Klamar, Sarah Malin, Tom Mothersdale, Sarah Ridgeway, Hugh Skinner and Catrin Stewart.
