25 years after Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman opened the show in London, a box set celebrating the show's anniversary is being prepped for an October 3 UK release. No US release date has yet been set.

According to the Universal Music store, the box set includes an Original Cast Recording, Love Never Dies cast recording, DVD, Hardback Book, Replica First Night Programme and an exclusive medallion.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the London opening of the world's greatest entertainment phenomenon, The Phantom Of The Opera 25th Anniversary Celebration box set is a sumptuous 4-CD and 1 DVD set that tells its story. This collection, overseen by Andrew Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group, contains the original recording of The Phantom Of The Opera. Listen again to timeless standards such as All I Ask Of You, The Music Of The Night and Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again, and you realise how much they have become part of the very fabric of musical theatre. Included also is its 2009 sequel, Love Never Dies, packaged in a collectors once-only design.

The audio and visual of the set is completed by The Phantom Phenomenon, an hour-long DVD that gathers together footage, some rare and unseen since broadcast that celebrates the show's history. But that is only half the story. The set is strictly limited and comes numbered with an exclusive POTO medallion; made in Great Britain. A 160-page hardback book written by acclaimed author Michael Heatley tells the story from page to stage and is exclusive to this set for a period of six months. To finish the package off, there is a facsimile of the 60-page opening night programme from Her Majesty's Theatre in 1986. This is a beautiful, limited edition souvenir.
