Debbie Kurup & Oliver Tompsett to Lead Kander & Ebb Revue at the Pheasantry

West End stars and esteemed musical theatre concert artists Oliver Tompsett (Wicked, We Will Rock You) and Debbie Kurup (Chicago, The Bodyguard) will headline a brand new British production of The World Goes Round: The Songs of Kander & Ebb, which will play a limited run of four nights only from Sunday 5th to Wednesday 8th July 2015 at the Pheasantry in Chelsea.

Kander & Ebb. Songwriting royalty. Best known for the international smash hit musicals Cabaret and Chicago, this multi-award-winning duo's extensive repertoire has been performed all over the world. The World Goes Round is an enchanting revue, which showcases popular and indisputable showbiz gems from their Broadway back catalogue.

Featuring songs from shows such as Cabaret, Chicago, Flora the Red Menace, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink, 70 Girls 70, The Act and more, including forever favourites 'All That Jazz', 'Cabaret', 'Mr Cellophane' and 'New York, New York', with a live on-stage band.

Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers' Choice Award nominee Tompsett, best known for playing Fiyero in in the West End production of Wicked at the Apollo Victoria, Galileo in We Will Rock You at the Dominion and Drew in Rock of Ages at the Garrick, most recently guested for the Tony Award winning American composer Jason Robert Brown at the Royal Festival Hall. A popular concert artist in his own right, he has also released an album, Sentimental Heart.

Olivier, Whatsonstage.com and Broadwayworld.com Award nominated Kurup, who has previously played Velma Kelly in the West End production of Kander & Ebb's Chicago, returns to London following her acclaimed portrayal of Reno Sweeney in the Sheffield Theatres and Stage Entertainment UK tour of Cole Porter's Anything Goes, prior to which she played Nicki Marron in the West End production of The Bodyguard at the Adelphi Theatre.

Joining Tompsett and Kurup in The World Goes Round are newcomer Steffan Lloyd-Evans (UK tours of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Godspell), and Pheasantry regulars Alexandra Da Silva and Sally Samad whose previous stints at the venue in Been on Broadway, SMASHing and their own solo shows La Petite Divatante and White Witch Wailing have garnered genuine praise amongst cabaret lovers and musical theatre aficionados alike.

From the producers of the acclaimed Notes from New York series, Idina Menzel's award-winning UK tour and the previous sold out Pheasantry revue Been on Broadway, which subsequently received a West End concert engagement and upcoming original cast album, The World Goes Round has music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, is devised by Scott Ellis, Susan Stroman and David Thompson and is produced by Neil Eckersley with musical direction by Kris Rawlinson.
