Deafinitely Theatre Will Launch New Streaming Service Deafinitely Digital With a Live Screening and Q&A

Deafinitely Theatre, the UK's first deaf led theatre company, is launching their new digital streaming service Deafinitely Digital which will host some of their most celebrated productions to date.  

 

The first on demand streaming platform by an accessible theatre company to date, they are celebrating with a live screening of their multi-award-winning show Everyday and a live Q&A session at the LEXI Cinema on Tuesday 21 November. 

 

The platform will feature the award-winning shows 4:48 Psychosis, Love's Labour's Lost and Deafinitely Theatre's series of short films Talking Hands, created in association with Paines Plough, free of charge upon launching, with Everyday, available to rent for a week for a fee of £7.50. 

 

4:48 Psychosis and Love's Labour's Lost will be available for free for one month until the 21 December.

Paula Garfield, the Artistic Director of Deafinitely Theatre said, Since the pandemic, we've been experimenting with different ways to showcase work that everyone can access and enjoy. This is an exciting next step on that journey and we're looking forward to providing a genuinely accessible digital offering to develop our audiences nationally and internationally.

During the height of the COVID 19 pandemic, Deafinitely Theatre released their work to the public for free for one month, where it was viewed by over 9,500 people. The platform will be continued to be updated with high quality recordings of Deafinitely Theatre's shows in the future, available in spoken English, BSL and captioning.
