Lending their voice to this years traditional pantomime Dick Whittington and his Cat at the Lyric Hammersmith are Alan Davies and Stephen Fry. As well as working together on BAFTA nominated quiz show QI, they will be voicing the characters of Bow and Bells; two puppets that provide their wise and witty comments as they follow the adventures of Dick Whittington.
Alan Davies, comedian, writer and actor is best known for starring in BAFTA winning TV mystery series Jonathan Creek and as a permanent panellist on TV quiz show QI. Other TV credits include comedy drama Bob and Rose, where he won Best Actor award in Monte Carlo TV festival and the current BBC comedy series Whites.
Actor, writer, broadcaster, film director and a director of Norwich City Football Club Stephen Fry's many TV and film credits include the lead in the film Wilde, Blackadder, Kingdom, Stephen Fry in America and for the past eight years he has hosted the BAFTA nominated quiz show QI. Fry's distinctive voice has previously been featured for The Cheshire Cat in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, as the reader for the British versions of all of J.K.Rowling's Harry Potter series of audio books and as the main character in Lionhead Studios games Fable II and Fable III.

Dick Whittington (Steven Webb), a Gloucestershire lad with big dreams journeys to London with his cool Cat (Paul J Medford) in search of fame and fortune; but first he must overcome the very evil King Rat (Simon Knuz). Dick Whittington and his Cat are joined by a cake-loving Bollywood Prince (Kulvinder Ghir), our heroine feisty Alice (Rosalind James) and of course Hammersmith's Panto Dame, the delightfully delectable Sarah the Cook (Shaun Prendergast).
