Olivier and Tony Award winner Alan Cumming will join West End stars including Julie Atherton (Avenue Q), Aneurin Barnard (Spring Awakening), Simon Burke (La Cage Aux Folles), Alexandra Silber (Carousel), Hannah Waddingham (Spamalot, A Little Night Music) and Emma Williams (Desperately Seeking Susan, Zorro) in Notes Unleashed! The Music of Lance Horne, the inaugural edition of a late-night strand of the ever-popular West End show series, Notes from New York.
Notes Unleashed! The Music of Lance Horne, which will take to the stage at the Vaudeville Theatre on the Strand at 11.00pm on Thursday 3 September 2009, is a special one-night only event following Alan Cumming's solo show at the Vaudeville that evening. It marks the London première of songs written by the Emmy Award winning composer, Lance Horne, with the composer at the piano.
Featuring a selection of the composer's greatest hits alongside a couple of world premières - one written on the plane to London to be debuted at the Vaudeville - and the occasional condom commercial theme tune, as co-penned with a certain Mr. Cumming, Notes Unleashed! The Music of Lance Horne promises one or two musical surprises and a rare late-night out in the West End.
Joining Lance, Alan and the roster of West End stars in this inspirationally interpretative interlude will be celebrated jazz singer Ian Shaw, whom critics have hailed as the best of his generation.
Notes Unleashed! The Music of Lance Horne is the first in a series of late night events from the team behind the Notes from New York series, which will feature Notes from New York alumni alongside up and coming artists and composers. A natural extension of the new work championed by the series, Notes Unleashed! offers a rare and raw chance to discover the best new talent.
Lance Horne is an Emmy Award winning composer, musical director, pianist, arranger and singer. A truly multi-talented musical genius of epic proportions. He regularly works with artists including Justin Bond, Meow Meow and, of course, Alan Cumming. He also performs in his own right, and composes for film, TV and theatre as well as writing arrangements for Broadway shows.
The evening is produced by Neil Eckersley & Paul Spicer for Speckulation Entertainment in association with Notes From New York.
Tickets are priced at £15. To purchase tickets, contact the Vaudeville Theatre Box Office at 0844 412 4663 or visit www.notesunleashed.com.
