CandyKing Theatre Presents Ibsen's A DOLL'S HOUSE August 18 Thru September 13

Following the sell-out success of its first two productions, CandyKing Theatre is proud to return to the Greenwich Playhouse to present Ibsen's most famous play A DOLL'S HOUSE, in the premiere of a new translation by Ida Forde, directed by Maria Chiorando.

Plays August 18 through September 13, 2009. Tuesday through Saturday 7:30pm, Sundays 4pm. Tickets £12, £10 concessions.

A DOLL'S HOUSE is a drama about money, fraud, blackmail and love. It tells the story of Nora, a wife who is prized by her husband Torvald for her good looks and childish devotion to him. In order to pay for a trip to help Torvald's ailing health, Nora secretly commits fraud. Her crime is discovered by the desperate Krogstad, who callously blackmails her. When Torvald learns of Nora's secret, his reaction changes both their lives forever.

A DOLL'S HOUSE was revolutionary, one of the first dramas of the 19th century to expose the dirty little secrets of middle class life.
