The Canada Water Culture Space autumn 2015 programme features an exciting mix of comedy, contemporary theatre, dance and music - programmed by the Albany in partnership with Southwark Council.
Highlights include contemporary theatre from Pilot Theatre with Outsiders - an adaptation of Camus' classic L'étranger - and 154 Collective's chilling and atmospheric Under the Bed. Jay Phelps and an all-star band in Projections of: Miles and sharp folk-rock from The Rails.
Family work includes adaptations of beloved books such as Goblin Theatre's Mr. Tiger Goes Wild and Tall Stories' The Snow Dragon and Christmas sees the return of Theatre Peckham with their 2015 festive treat, CLOWN.

A true showman, Gordon Masiala's sharp sound and tight rhythms and grooves make for an infectious evening of entertainment. The Congolese singer and his band NK Musica play upbeat and high tempo Soukous, Rumba, Salsa and Afro-Cuban music.

Yinka Davies
In her first London show, Yinka Davies will perform songs from her solo albums Emi n'lo and Black Chiffon and recently recorded songs with an all-star band. Arguably the finest contemporary singer in Nigeria, Yinka has had a remarkable career singing with Ayinde Barrister, Fatai Rolling Dollar, Shina Peters and Lagbaja to name a few.

The Reapers Choir
The Reapers Choir, directed by Anu Omideyi, is choir from the Christ Apostolic Church (Bethel) UK. This magnificent choir was a finalist in the BBC GospelChoir of the Year 2014 competition. Theycreates uplifting music that warms your heart. Theirclose harmonies and intricate vocal arrangements have made them one of UK's finest choirs.

Aar Maanta
Considered the voice of the new generation of Somalis in the UK, British Somali singer and songwriter Aar Maanta produces an eclectic mix of styles blended with traditional Somali music, including the classical Qaraami ('love songs' in Arabic) style of the 1940s.

Hanisha Solomon
A brilliant and powerful performer, Ethiopian Hanisha Solomon sings in Amharic, Oromiffa and Arabic languages. Her music combines Amharic musical scales with urban grooves from Africa and America.

Mike Aremu
Nigeria's leading saxophonist Mike Aremu continues to shape his music with sophisticated melodies of contemporary jazz and the infectious rhythms of his Nigerian culture. Mike leads his band as they play from his current CD Coat of Many Colours (Vision Band). Expect an explosive show from one of the great names of Nigerian music.

The Rails

JAY PHELPS PRESENTS
Projections of: Miles
Jay Phelps has put together an international all-star line up to re-arrange and perform over four-decade's worth of the wonderful music of jazz legend, Miles Davis. Phelps has always cited Davis as one of his greatest inspirations and aims to breathe new life into his music, selecting lesser known tunes for the band to re-imagine. Phelps (on trumpet) will be joined by ex-Blakey American Tenor saxophone star, Jean Toussaint, and British star Rachel Cohen on Alto Sax. The rhythm section consists of two of the busiest men in the business, Tim Thornton (bass) and Shane Forbes (drums) joined by rising newcomer Ashley Henry (piano).

When Alice is stolen away in the middle of the night by her mum she has no idea what is happening. Scared, confused and angry, Alice finds herself in a strange house, forbidden to leave, arguing with her mum during the day and hiding under her covers from the strange noises at night. Told using performance, music, live animation and film, Under the Bed is a compelling new play about childhood trauma and what happens when nightmares are indistinguishable from reality.

Quentin Blake's classic picture book, the children's cast from Theatre Peckham bring the magical world of the CLOWN to life.
