Cameron Blakely and Alex Young Join DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS in Concert at the London Palladium

Cameron Blakely and Alex Young will join the cast of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, in concert at The London Palladium on Sunday 24 November. 

Cameron Blakely (‘Inspector Andre') is currently starring as ‘Frank Hillard' in Mrs Doubtfire The Musical (Shaftesbury Theatre, West End) and other credits include ‘Brother Jeremiah' in Something Rotten! (Concert, Theatre Royal Drury Lane), ‘Gomez Addams' in The Addams Family (UK Tour) and ‘Bamatabois/Babet' in Les Misérables. Alex Young (‘Jolene Oaks') most recently played ‘Poppy' in the acclaimed Standing at The Sky's Edge at The National Theatre having created the role at the Sheffield Crucible. Her other work in theatre includes ‘The Baker's Wife' in Terry Gilliam's production of Into The Woods at the Theatre Royal Bath and ‘Cora Hoover Hooper' in Anyone Can Whistle at the Southwark Playhouse.

Marking 20 years since the musical premiered at The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, musical theatre superstars, Ramin Karimloo, as the scrappy underdog Freddy Benson, and Hadley Fraser as the smooth and suave Laurence Jamieson, go head-to-head to woo an heiress out of $50,000.

Directed by Rupert Hands, Karimloo and Fraser, lead a live orchestra, the Mountview Choir and a stellar cast featuring Carly Mercedes Dyer as ‘Christine Colgate' and Janie Dee as Muriel Eubanks. The concert is produced by Lambert Jackson and Positive Sum.

Based on the 1988 hit movie, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels features an unforgettable score by David Yazbek (The Full Monty) and a book by Jeffrey Lane. The 2005 Broadway adaptation was nominated for a staggering ten Tony Awards and the subsequent cast album nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.
