The London production of “Chicago” will celebrate its eleventh birthday on Thursday 4 December, with a special guest appearance by Justin Lee Collins.

Justin Lee Collins will play the part of Amos Hart at the Cambridge Theatre for three performances only: at the 8.00pm performance on Thursday 4 December and the 5.00pm and 8.30pm performances on Friday 5 December. These performances along with Justin’s rehearsals will be filmed as part of a documentary made by Tiger Aspect for airing on Sky 1 in the New Year.

Justin Lee Collins said of his role in “Chicago”, “I’m over the moon to be playing the sexiest part in the best show on the West End stage.  I’ve already gone through a dozen pairs of tights.’’

From 1 December, the cast of the smash-hit West End musical “Chicago” at the Cambridge Theatre will be led by Aoife Mulholland as Roxie Hart, Tiffany Graves as Velma Kelly, Ian Kelsey as Billy Flynn, Victor McGuire as Amos Hart and Brenda Edwards as Mama Morton.

The producers of the London production of “Chicago” are delighted to announce a new partnership of the musical with Philips Epilators, ensuring legs will remain smooth and the production will glide gracefully into its twelfth year! This groundbreaking deal represents the first ever commercial partnership of a West End show with a global brand.

“Chicago” opened at the Adelphi Theatre on 18 November 1997 to rave reviews and immediately became a sell-out hit.  "Chicago" won the 1998 Laurence Olivier Award for 'Outstanding Musical Production' as well as the 1998 Critics Circle Drama Award for 'Best Musical'.  “Chicago” transferred from the Adelphi Theatre to the Cambridge Theatre in April 2006.  Currently playing in New York, Japan, Denmark and on tour in the US, with forthcoming productions in Australia, Korea, Holland and Spain, "Chicago" is produced in London by the Broadway producers Barry and Fran Weissler.

"Chicago", which is based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins, has a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. "Chicago" is choreographed by Ann Reinking in the style of Bob Fosse and directed by Walter Bobbie.  The West End production of "Chicago" is staged by the entire original Broadway creative team.

Tickets for “Chicago”, priced from £20.00 - £55.00, are available from the Cambridge Theatre Box Office on 0844 412 4652.  Performance times at the Cambridge Theatre are Mondays to Thursdays at 8.00pm, with Friday performances at 5.00pm and 8.30pm and Saturday performances at 3.00pm and 8.00pm.  “Chicago” is now booking until 31 July 2009.  Visit the “Chicago” website on www.chicagothemusical.co.uk.
