Bristol Old Vic today announced respected local catering company Fosters as their partners for a unique events and restaurant café offer, on completion of the theatre's multi-million pound redevelopment.

The two renowned organisations are joining forces to create a new catering and events space in the centre of Bristol and bookings open today (Wednesday 27 September) for those who want to be one of the first through the doors when the building's Front of House reopens in Autumn 2018.

The centrepiece of this offer will be the historic Coopers' Hall, which until last year, served as the theatre's entrance. It has been everything from a Craft Guild building and a Quaker Meeting House, to an auction room and a fruit warehouse - but spent the last 45years as a very grand staircase as part of Bristol Old Vic's Front of House space. At long last, King Street's famous Coopers' Hall is being returned to its original Georgian splendour, allowing it to function as a public space once again; for weddings, conferences and events of every kind.

Bristol Old Vic's Chief Executive Emma Stenning and Fosters CEO Neil Lodge celebrated the partnership today by toasting the new venture on site in the soon to be finished Coopers' Hall. Emma Stenning said: "We searched nationwide for the right catering partner; one who would share our pride in this city, and who would work with the kind of creative flair that a theatre demands. I was delighted that the best team just happened to be based in Bristol. This is a big step towards the future success of Bristol Old Vic, and having worked with Fosters on events of our own over recent years, I couldn't be more pleased than to be making this move in partnership with a trusted local company and a brilliant group of people."

Neil Lodge said: "Bristol Old Vic represents an opportunity for Bristol to showcase itself to a wider regional, national and international audience. Our aim is to match the spectacle of the Bristol Old Vic experience with an equally impressive food and beverage offer. We want to ensure that visitors to Bristol Old Vic, and guests at events, leave with a real sense of the region's food heritage, provenance and quality, alongside its proud cultural heritage".

Alongside bookings for the new spaces opening today, Bristol Old Vic also announced a new Corporate Membership scheme available for businesses and groups who would like to be amongst the first to enjoy the theatre's dramatic and historic spaces and bring some theatrical magic to their events. Offering everything from branding opportunities, behind the scenes experiences to exclusive entertainment and use of daytime meeting spaces as well as a host of corporate benefits and discounts, find out more about Corporate Memberships here: http://bristololdvic.org.uk/assets/Corporate_Membership_Digital_Brochure_A4_AW.pdf.
