According to a report by Baz Bamigboye in UK Daily Mail, Alfie Boe is in talks with Cameron Mackintosh to reprise the role of Val Jean in the West End next year. When approached about the engagement, Boe replied, 'It's something that might well happen.'
Boe, appeared in the 25th anniversary concert of Les Miserables at the O2 last Sunday. Cameron Mackintosh added on the possibility, 'Alfie comes from an opera world, but he's not a pop tenor - he's a great, strapping, manly operatic tenor. It's lovely to hear the score re-invented by a truly great artist. Of course, I would love to have him perform in the show. Watch this space!'
