Beginning at 6:15pm today Birmingham Hippodrome will be streaming LIVE from behind the scenes of Dirty Dancing. At 6:15pm we will join the full company on stage as they complete the daily physical warm-up, then from 6.30-6.45pm we get an insight into the intense vocal warm-up before curtain up. This will be a unique and rarely seen opportunity to take a glimpse behind the red curtain and see the day to day workings of a major theatrical production.
The stream will be introduced by Birmingham born Kate-Emma Portlock who plays the role of Vivian Pressman in the award-winning show.

This is only the second time that Birmingham Hippodrome has broadcast live following the first ever stream from the photocall of Britain’s Biggest Pantomime, Robinson Crusoe which has enjoyed hundreds of unique views online.
Dirty Dancing runs at Birmingham Hippodrome until Saturday 25 August. Since the UK tour opened in Bristol on 1 September 2011, demand for tickets has been sensational, smashing box office records across the country and playing to packed houses.
American actress Jill Winternitz stars as idealistic ‘Baby Houseman’ alongside Nicky Griffiths in the role of ‘Penny Johnson’ and Paul-Michael Jones, who has attracted huge critical and public acclaim on the tour so far as ‘Johnny Castle’.
