Big Name Productions presents GLEEMANIA. GLEEMANIA, a spectacular concert of songs and stunningly choreographed mash-ups inspired by the smash hit TV phenomenon Glee will have its world premiere at London's Hammersmith HMV?Apollo on Friday December 17 and at Birmingham NIA on Sunday December 19.
A five-month UK tour starts on Friday January 28 - full dates to be announced.
GLEEMANIA is a high-octane, high-on-life, feelgood production showcasing the amazing vocal talents of an ultimate pop group of singers from Britain's favourite reality TV shows, including The X?Factor, Britain's Got?Talent, Pop Idol?and Last Choir?Standing.
"These reality TV shows have discovered some exceptionally talented singers in recent years," says Producer/Musical Director Simon Henderson. "We have hand-picked 10 of the very best of them to create an outstanding super pop group for GLEEMANIA. These are all finalists who were taken to the hearts of the British public, who voted for them in their millions.These kids are seriously talented and the public are going to love seeing and hearing them again. Gorgeous and oozing with talent, they were all stand-out stars on the biggest shows on British TV, but as a group they truly shine."
The stars of GLEEMANIA will be bringing incredible music from past eras back to life, including the hits Don't Stop Believin', Gold Digger, and, of course, much-loved mash-ups inspired by the hit TV show Glee.
The gorgeous boys include Rikki Loney from The X Factor in 2009, who made it all the way to the live shows and the final 10; 18 -year-old heartthrob Shaun Smith, a finalist on Britain's Got Talent; chart topping hunk Anthony Kavanagh who was the runner up on Grease Is the Word; Andy Scott Lee appeared in the second series of Pop Idol and enjoyed chart success with his brothers in the band 3SL; Aaron Bayley starred in the first ever season of Pop Idol; and the incredible voices of brothers David Francis & Trevor Francis who made Take That's Rule The World their own as lead singers of the group Revelation in Last Choir Standing.
The Pop Princesses are X Factor star Nikitta Angus; Emma Beard who came within a whisker of joining Girls Aloud in Pop Stars - The Rivals; stunning Stacey McClean who first appeared in S Club Juniors and more recently made it through to the final six girls in the last series of The X Factor; and Kimberley Southwick also a big X Factor contender.
Producer/Musical Director Simon Henderson has sold over 8 million records and is currently working with major artists including Robin Gibb from the legendary Bee Gees and Peter Andre.
Director David Wood is an acclaimed choreographer who has worked with Diana Ross, Gloria Estefan, Lionel Ritchie, Kylie Minogue and was one of the team of choreographers on the recent Spice Girls tour.
